"This image is from my series “Separation”. Shot in Palestine, Jordan and the occupied territories known as “Israel” in 2018, the series explores occupation, expulsion and memory through the eyes of my family. The image is a snapshot of two boys hanging on the back of a truck as it speeds through the winding roads of Amman. The title refers to how I was hitching rides from my family to travel through Jordan and Palestine."
