'This work was shot in Twentynine Palms, California in 2017 during a roadtrip through Northern America. The amount of advertising is so overwhelming it can create anxiety by the sheer volume and its often intrusive nature. For me this sign felt peacefull in its emptiness which also felt like an accurate representation of how empty most billboards actually are even when in use.'
