“Freebirds is a work that expresses freedom, peace, hope, and liberation. The global pandemic, beginning in late 2019, has reduced us to insecurity and fear. Life has changed completely, and even today, social life remains disrupted by city-wide lockdowns and restrictions on activities.
When we finally contain the coronavirus, I believe a world as free as the birds that fly high in the sky awaits us. With this work, I want to share my wishes and hopes for our recovery, and for a world that is more peaceful, secure, and safe than before.”
