“A visual labyrinth reminiscent of our online presence, Hive navigates the shared space between the physical and the virtual, using the architecture and design of a university campus as a photographic base. The series emphasises my responses to the space through diverse manipulations of the photographs, pushing the resulting images to abstraction. I wanted to show both the playful interior and the artificial nature of the space – and the ambiguity that exists within.”
