"This image was made in 2024, two weeks after my 28th birthday. After the party, the colour of the balloon faded in the sunlight, but it remained a joyful reminder of a past celebration. Every year, I hold on to the balloons as long as possible: I love how their colours, textures and shapes change over time. This image marks the start of a tradition of picturing dusty balloons on their last legs, as if holding on to a joyful day."
