"Roseless revisits Senegal’s once-pink Lac Rose, now drained of its hue by flooding, deforestation, and urban expansion. Confronted with a landscape transformed by neglect and commodification, I chose to 'return' the pink through symbolic gestures—painted skin, flowers, and pigment. The series contrasts the lake’s fading greens with human-made color, suggesting that restoring life to this place depends on us."
