"I have always had a deep-seated desire to explore the world. In the last decade, this aspiration transformed into a relentless pursuit, shaping my identity and offeriing a means of escapism. Constant movement began to foster a sense of detachment and a longing for belonging.
"While long-desired, when the news of my impending fatherhood came, it ignited a complex mix of emotions. Anxiety overpowered joy. As I awaited my child’s birth in the United States, I made a conscious decision to embrace stillness and introspection. This period of self-confrontation proved challenging, and I was unable to reconcile my inner tumult. Shortly after arriving in the States, I sought solace in Latin America.
"During this transformative journey, I adopted a solitary approach to photography, forgoing social interaction and focusing on the interplay between time, place, and colour. This meditative practice became a catalyst for personal growth and a means to redefine my role in the world.
"The While Waiting For Armmā series captures this pivotal period in 2024, featuring images from Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and the United States."
