“My work often focuses on the human body, as a starting point to examine how images are constructed, and as a means to interpret reality. It can be seen as a continuation of an old tradition, focusing on the relationship between the artist and the model – between the observer and the observed.
For me, this portrait of Aziadé conveys honesty and vulnerability at the same time. It's an image from my Rayon Vert project, which was published by Kominek Books in 2017.”
